We had a very successful Virtual Santa Fun Run in 2020 raising valuable funds for Charities in a safe way during the pandemic. Charities have been hard hit during the lockdowns but have continued to support those in need of their help and services.

In December 2021 the four Northampton Rotary Clubs together with Northampton Town Rotaract Club are organising both a Virtual Santa Fun Run and a super ‘Mass Run’ on Northampton Racecourse. These are ‘not for profit events’ which means it is run entirely by unpaid volunteers and all net monies raised will be donated to Local Charities.

Rotary is the largest worldwide charitable organisation and each British Rotary Club is registered separately with the charity commission.

You choose which Charity you will be raising Funds for and your sponsors can support you through our Santa Run 2021 TotalGiving pages.

This year all profit from entry fees will be donated to support local Rotary projects such as taking youngsters to the pantomime, supporting food banks, activities and days out for those with special needs.

The 2021 Northampton Santa Run will be held over 9 days from Saturday 4th December — Sunday 12th. The Virtual event you can do wherever you are whenever you want and if you would like to, join us on the Racecourse with lots of other Santa’s on the 12th. We will endeavour to make our event as safe as possible with spaced out warmups and starting times.

Registration and payment can be completed on the sign-up page. The cost is £12 per adult with a suit and medal, and £7 for children with a suit and medal. We are also offering a Family Concession of £32 for 2 adults and 2 children with suits and medals.

Once you have Entered you will receive a confirmation email followed by an information email that will give you instructions on how to join the Virtual event STRAVA group or email in your progress. Santa Suits and medals can be posted/delivered to your address or collected from selected supermarket carparks from the 22nd to the 26th of November.

Entry Fees cover the cost of running the event and you are encouraged to raise as much sponsorship as possible for Local Charities by creating a TotalGiving page here.

All are welcome to take part regardless of ability and everyone that enters will receive a Santa suit and medal. The more the merrier.

There will be three sizes of Santa suits;

Covid-19 Precautions

During our event we want everyone to have fun but also to be safe. Each person that enters will be required to conform to any government or local Covid-19 requirements. Please ensure that you do not break any local restrictions while completing your challenge. Wash your hands regularly and create space to stay safe.

From December 4th – 12th 2021

From the 4th of December, you will be able to post your progress on our dedicated STRAVA group or email us with updates. We will have a running total on our Facebook page and website.

Personal Sponsorship

To add to your enjoyment of the challenge, why not raise personal sponsorship from families, friends and colleagues to support your chosen charities. Our chosen charities are not Government-sponsored and rely heavily on private donations to enable them to provide great support to people who need their services.

IOO% of sponsorship monies raised will go to the nominated charities as detailed on our Charities Page. This is really important for the nominated charities so please raise sponsorship and donate to our good causes.

To raise funds for your chosen local cause please go to our TotalGiving page and create your own page.

Donations can be made by cheque payable to The Rotary Clubs of Northampton Charitable Trust Fund and posted to our Treasurer, Northampton Rotary Charity Fun Run/Walk, 64 Church Street, Broughton, Kettering, Northants NN14 1LU.
